When a drive stops working or files go missing, the first priority is not making things worse. We assess the device and the situation, explain what recovery options are realistic, and quote any recovery work separately before we start.

Limitations and exclusions

• No recovery service can promise that every file can be recovered
• Recovery work is quoted separately after the $60 diagnostic
• Physically damaged drives and other complex cases are referred to a specialist; we do not offer cleanroom or physical drive recovery

Pricing

The standard diagnostic is $60 and assesses the device and the situation. Recovery work is a Custom Quote, given in writing after the assessment and before any recovery work begins. Recovery is not guaranteed, and no recovery service can promise that every file can be recovered. Physically damaged drives, such as drives that do not spin up or that click, and other complex cases are referred to a specialist recovery lab; we do not offer cleanroom or physical drive recovery ourselves. Copying files from a drive that still works is our Data transfer service.

Hardware, parts, software licenses, hosting, travel, and third-party subscriptions are billed separately unless a service says otherwise. You approve a written estimate before work begins.
